Nice time in Dubrovnik

Even though Dubrovnik isn’t as popular as some other exotic locations such as Bora Bora, Fiji, Bahamas, etc. There is a reason why this city is becoming more and more popular. So, in case you ever decide to visit it, we made a list with some pretty useful suggestions on how to have a great time while enjoying Dubrovnik.

Circle City’s Walls

If for some strange reason you’re only able to do one thing while you’re visiting Dubrovnik, then touring the city’s walls should be your first choice. These walls are encircling the entire old town and they are absolutely stunning. Over two kilometers long, they date all the way back to the 13th century and are without any doubt Dubrovnik’s main attraction. Although the price is a little high, visiting these walls is something every tourist should do.

Explore the Old Town

Just as you are done with the first thing on our list, you might just stick around a while longer and explore Dubrovnik’s old town. Not only that it has the aforementioned walls, but also, the buildings itself in this town are simply breathtaking. They’re built completely using white stones, and when you combine that with years of polishing, the results you get are incredible. You can also take a walk along the most popular street in Dubrovnik, “Stradun”, visit the most important building, “Rector’s Place”, and if the crowd gets too big, you can get away by going to the back streets, where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the view. If you like it there and you are thinking about investing in Croatia, then investing in real estate will never bring you loss.

Sea Kayaking

If you’re not afraid to get a little wet, you’ll see why Dubrovnik is called the pearl of Adriatic. Everything that we’ve mentioned until now looks even better when you get into the sea and watch it from that perspective, and kayaking is a great way to do that. Considering that this is one of the most popular ways to explore the sea, you won’t be having any trouble getting a good offer from local agencies.

Game of Thrones Tour

If you’re a die-hard fan of Game of Thrones, you probably know by now that some scenes were filmed in this city. If you’re lucky, you may even hear some stories from the local guides on how it was to star in some episodes of GoT, since many of them were actually extras in certain scenes.

It’s Beach time!

It’s a fact that for many people Dubrovnik is just a place they visit because of the many historical sites. But, don’t forget that this town is also located right at the Adriatic. So, get your sunscreen, a beach towel, and soak in the sun on gorgeous beaches of Dubrovnik.

Visit Various Museums

Like we said earlier, this town is full of history, so, it’s not surprising that there is a museum on every other corner. Take advantage of that and soak in some useful and intriguing information that you’ll carry with yourself for the rest of your life.

Jet Skiing

A third exciting way to explore the Adriatic sea is to jump on a jet ski and ride it like there’s no tomorrow. Well, maybe not that fast and reckless, but driving a jet ski actually is a great way to explore the waters. There are a couple of agencies with some good offers and prices which will definitely make you think twice even if you’re not a fan of activities like this, so why not give it a try.

Go fishing!

Considering that Dubrovnik is literally built by the Adriatic sea, going fishing doesn’t seem like a bad idea at all. Even if you’re not very good at it, local experts will definitely give you some useful tips and who know, if you’re lucky, you might even catch something.

Enjoy The View

Last but certainly not least, our advice for you is to simply sit back and enjoy the beauty of this town. It might sound cliche, but once you visit Dubrovnik, you’ll see why we had to include this on our list. Just make sure that you bring your camera with you, and you’ll realize why this town is a gem of Croatia.
